What is a Health/ Wellness Coach?

My training in holistic wellness emphasized the role of guidance, accountability, and empowerment in supporting meaningful lifestyle change. Through this education, I learned how goal setting—whether related to energy levels, eating habits, stress management, or overall well-being—can be most effective when approached with simplicity and sustainability in mind.

A core principle of my studies was the understanding that every individual is unique, and that this individuality influences which foods and lifestyle practices are most supportive. I was taught the importance of learning to listen to the body’s signals, creating space for self-awareness, and developing a deeper understanding of what feels nourishing versus depleting.

Rather than focusing on rigid meal plans or prescribed diets, my education centered on a broader view of wellness—one that includes not only food, but also factors such as career fulfillment, relationships, and home environment. These elements, often referred to as “primary foods,” play a significant role in overall health and balance.
